EP President imposes penalty on Nigel Farage MEP for behaviour which is 'inappropriate, unparliamentary and insulting to the dignity of the house'

The President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, met with Nigel Farage, Co-Chairman of the EFD Group in the European Parliament, earlier today to discuss the latter's behaviour in the plenary of the Parliament on Wednesday 24 February, during the report-back by Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, on the outcome of the informal summit meeting held in Brussels on Thursday 11 February.

European Parliament President Professor Jerzy Buzek met the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych today in Brussels where they discussed the following issues: EU-Ukraine relations, negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement, the roadmap on visa liberalisation, Ukraine's gas infrastructure, economic recovery, the EURONEST parliamentary assembly, the cancellation of local elections in Ukraine, the situation in Belarus, and Ukraine's position on Montenegro's accession to the WTO.
